Power/Water lines really messy and challenging to connect?
Am I doing something wrong here, but it seems really challenging to connect something as simple as a power or water line to the existing network or just stringing a line from one wind turbine to another?

Yeah, really horrible to get them to connect. You can do it, but it's not intuitive.

I'll give it a go again but leaning towards a refund, game feels quite unpolished compared to CS1.

Protip. Page down to put the powerline underground.

Transformer next to road network ..Power line to outside connection or just build a coal plant and put it right by the road. Seems pretty simple.

I can't even get the pump or sewage facility connected to water pipes for some reason, it just won't snap.
Power line works fine for me.

Got the connections to work - it took a little practice though

mind the level you are building the pipe on. Underground -10m with snapping worked fine for me. Just keep in mind that you are snapping in 3D, so mark the point slightly below the connection point that is on the ground

I’ve tried setting the lines underground but even trying to connect to the little circles which I assume are the connectors is a pain and often after that I don’t see the power flowing.

I’ve set up three wind turbines and can’t get them to connect to each other easily.

Yeah still doing tutorial and trying to get sewer lines connected is a complete nightmare. Used page up / page down to try and level them and still nothing. They do not clip like CS1.

The snapping needs more improvement, it's too loose, slight movement and it's off.

Same with angles, it needs to hold better, like precision engineering in CS1

okay so yes, you need to definitely watch the height of your pipes/roads/electrical. ha.

I have initiated a refund and will stick to CS1 for now.

Will revisit the game in the future when perhaps some of these issues will see UI improvements or patches.

No issues connecting all the internal networks, but did anyone figure out how to create an outside connection for water? So it can be exported? I build up to city limit, but anything more it says out of bounds.

Power was easy to connect. Sewer and water was a pain.

I'm glad someone else has mentioned this. The snapping is hardly noticeable and easy to miss.

Completely agree with this as well.

I think though these are things that can easily be tweaked in future updates and they don't make the game unplayable. Just needs a bit of practise from the player side in the meantime.
