18 fps in the menus for me lol, got in to a new blank map game, 30fps.... rtx 3080. maybe me cards out of date now

Strange, my settings are high everything and vsync off.
Got a 3700x + 4070, started one of the blank maps and am getting like 45 fps.
A 3080 should be around a 4070 right?
On a blank map my cpu is doing like 3 % and my GPU 98-100 %.

yeah, by default it uses the "realistic" depth of field setting which is heavily used in the main menu... just turning it off made my 3070 go from 3 fps to 30 fps in the main menu at the high preset. didnt help me from getting just 15 fps on an empty map though. turning it down to medium or low was a must.

Disabling DOF fixed main menu FPS for me. Went from 18 to 60

Sad how such a simple setting is set to the highest by default when it probably only should use that for photo modes. And far too many players won’t even try to correct it. Clearly the fault is at the devs for the bad default. But then again the settings overall is ♥♥♥♥.

The devs really dropped the ball here and completely forgot how to release a game.. either that, or they share a bed with Intel, Nvidia or AMD...

If they worked with Nvidia then they would have DLSS probably. Yet they have FSR1 in here as the default upscaler alone with two others I’m unfamiliar with. Sad really. And most of the issues people have is gpu performance. Doing good upscalers could help a ton at that point. But FSR1 looks like trash. One of the few games my old 3070 struggles with at 4K which says a lot.
