Me too. Stuck at Connecting Outside Power. I have an outside power connection that seems to be working fine but the tutorial won't move on.

Example:
If you built a windmill, when selecting the electric cable, make sure to either start ontop of the windmill or when connecting to it. I will assume it's the same for other power sources, that you need to hover your mouse ontop of the power source itself for it to turn blue and not showing overlapping items

I went into the settings and restarted the tutorial. When I went back to the game, I rebuilt the electricity connection and then the tutorial moved on like it should.

Yeah I'm having the same issue. Connected the transformer from the high voltage lines leading into the city. It appears that the grid is connected as it should be but the tutorial isn't recognizing that I've made an outside connection.

I cant get this to work. I try and connect the power line to the connection point on the windmill and it will only show 'overlapping items'. Im about to give up on the windmill. There was no issues connecting the water and waste to their connection points.

When I did this, after selecting the cable, I only had to hover the mouse a bit higher up from the base of the windmill and it changed from overlapping to become blue (able to build)

THis is sad. Tutorial broken for me. It says to place substation, then run outside connection to it. It absolutely refuses to connect. Will try doing it in reverse. This makes no sense.

Reverse, forward, no matter what I do this building doesn't want to connect to the line.
Nabbs1 Oct 24, 2023 @ 12:19pm
delete all power lines then run the power from your transformer thing to the external power
gamophyte Oct 24, 2023 @ 12:21pm
Okay it is because the building was moved using the relocate since CSL 1. It will break and the round connection disk connect point will be gone.
gamophyte Oct 24, 2023 @ 12:30pm
now because I put a pin on a building my screen scroll is stopped and there is no way to unpin from someone, you can just pin something else. Over it. Will wait until patched. :steamsad:

I had to zoom all the way in on the connection point on the windmill, then I was able to snap onto it properly. The utility building system seems clunky at the moment.

Mine is also stuck. I plopped a Coal Power plant and earned the checkmark for Electricity but the tutorial doesn't move on to "water". I tried twice... Did they even test this thing before rolling out?
