Got a laptop last year 16GB RAM and GTX3070 which hopeful can run at medium or low setting but realizing need a new one to run this game.

What are peoples thoughts on Alienware M16 32GB RAM wiith RTX4070 card?

I assume you mean RTX3070? I would wait until optimization gets worked on buying a new computer. That build is fine. Current build you likely will be able to run it but at low settings. In time I would imagine you can get to medium depending on how optimization goes. Keep in mind a RTX3070 on a laptop is not equivalent to the desktop version.

Moar RAM would be a good upgrade. Specially if you can add a bank with the same specs as the original.

My thoughts? Crazy to consider an upgrade of an one-year-old laptop because of one game.

It's a good call to identify the exact graphic chip model name,
usually notebook graphic chips are crippled versions, compared to desktop cards which carry the same model name. Often they are 30-60% slower in speed, compared to desktop.

I hope you can enjoy the game :steamhappy:

If you want a gaming capable Laptop, pre-order the Framework 16. You will have to wait a bit, but it's upgradable, as in upgradeable GPU, upgradeable Mainboard+CPU, free choice of Ram and storage.

You better wait for them to fix the game instead of forking out thousands of cash to play a horribly unoptimized game.

Why not?

They perform perfectly well?! Most Steam users use lower end cards anyway so any medium/high end laptop is well above most Steam gamers. And they hold there value so you only spend £200/£400 to upgrade to the "next gen".

looks like you don´t know anything about hardware too...
the problem is not just the hardware, its just they ALL overheat fast there is nothing you can do about it

You do NOT need to upgrade with those specs, especially just for a game. Unless you have 2 grand burning a hole in your pocket and you are very financially stable.

Alienware was once great top of the line company a decade or more ago. But they were bought out by I think Dell and became just a so so computer company, living off of their old name.
