I guess the ultimate plan in the game is to have a train/bus run city to deal with the traffic.
Not sure how you would get a totally car free one though.
Agreed. Build everything around transit, get rid of almost all parking, and charge max price for the tiny bit of parking available. Use highways only in industrial areas, and use them to sneak a few rapid express buses about the city too.
Or just be like me and live in a smaller city or the country and not worry about any traffic in the USA. Most of the US is actually rural areas.
