Which Edition to get?

Considering how Paradox is with their DLC policy, looks like the Ultimate Edition is actually worth it? Because I bet the content it includes, if I don't buy it bundled now, will cost MORE if I buy it separately later!

I'm not sure, but I can't think of any content from Paradox that got more expensive over time. It's not like wine or anything. Usually, it goes on sale later.

If you want the Ultimate Edition, maybe consider getting the physical Premium Edition instead, if you have the chance of buying one at a discount. More content for less money. Apparently, moderators at the Paradox Forum have confirmed it will contain Steam keys:

Obviously, with the retail editions, you forgo the option Steam gives you for refunding, which could explain the discount.

I suppose the question is, will it be dropped in less than a year due to turning out badly? if so then the DLC won't matter.

Listen to my own music when playing. DLC all comes on sale at some point. Buy ultimate if you have enough trust in devs to fulfil promises. Personally gonna pre-order standard edition for the unique buildings and pic up dlcs as when they come if I feel like I want them and they will significantly affect gameplay. CIv 5 was good, bought all the dlc on a black friday sale and it was like a whole new game

But it has Bridges, Piers, Ports? And two cosmetic packs? Aside from the radios (which I don't care for...) I remember forking over like $30 for Bridges and Ports for the first game lol... They are not generous in how they price their expansions.

You can always get the standard edition now and buy the DLCs you want later for a hefty discount. It's pretty common for paradox DLCs to be 50% off after a year or so of being released.
