Any information about it?
There is only 1 sentence not so related I guess: "As long as you have connected your platform (Steam, XBOX, PSN) account with your Paradox account, there is no need to log in separately to Paradox Mods." - as far as i know it works only if you enter the product key, which hasn't been issued yet.... and if that was to be done through Paradox Mods.... well, how?
You do realise the Microsoft games launcher on PC is called Xbox as well right?
--- You don't need fiber for fast downloads speeds, any cable internet can download super fast - as your not needing to upload the files as your downloading. Fiber is great for symmetrical but to download things, cable internet is just as fast with a slight higher ping.
It takes time to decrypt the preload and then there is usually a big patch which wouldn't be an extra download if you didn't preload.
I had to do both before in quick succession (because I bought new nvmes and forgot to save my install-folders...) for other games and it was actually faster without the preload...
ADSL2+ you are getting a max of 24 and that's in perfect conditions, anything higher you are using FTTC or FTTP which both use fibre along the way either to near your house or directly into your wall
Almost every first world country unless you live in the middle of nowhere will be using FTTC at this point, preloading for ADSL2+ is where the benefit is
Cable internet is ♥♥♥♥, it uses a bus system, if you are at the end of that bus system and your neighbours are using a lot of throughput you will get absolutely screwed and there's nothing in the world you can do about it which is why 99% of providers don't use it
Now that you told me... i do realise that absolutely... not :D
Magic world of one game and not being interested in other games or platforms so no, i didn't know they made things confusing :D
So getting the game ready to play on the release day involves... Steam again (or xbox or whatever we like) but without Steam's workshop?
On one hand I wanted to avoid having steams folders again.... but on the other it's perfectly convenient to move around my hard drives... unlike Paradox that we know so much about how that works.... meaning absolutely nothing beside that they have just done it for Cities Skylines 2.
I mean.... they even published a FAQ page about it with a link to what was supposed to be a different FAQ, but they just simply linked the same wesbite so it was looping.
Great... The other FAQ explained a little more but I didn't know where it was coming from, looked kind of obscure.... and before I knew it i told them clearly that what they were doing was pushing people back to games that were not bought (I won't be using a P-word here in case it was the same sort of bigotry), and I got banned for that.
They are d**b .
So explanation that was needed turned up 1-2 days later as official dev diaries, by that time they have destroyed any positive impression that was left about them...
And honestly - their own FAQ discusses the very same P-word thing... why that doesn't get banned?
All comes down to the lack of information how that gonna work.
Yeah I know that Assets Editor won't be there... although some mods will pop up as apparently they let some modders prepare them for the new game. We'll see .
