Cities Skylines 2 release - how to get it downloaded? (not pre-download!!!)

I've tried asking that on CO instagram account but instagram kept deleting these posts (idiots, honestly - claimed it was a spam).

So we are using that Paradox mods platform now, instead of Steam, and while we obviously can still use Steam to download the game, is there or will there be a way to download the game through Paradox platform?

Can CO or Paradox get us a quick guide on that, unless it's gonna be absolutely obvious - I'd still like to know what to look out for though. We don't have much time after we are back from work, so when downloading the game on its release day (oh that's gonna be slow ;)) I'd like to know what I'm doing instead of spending hours on searching for instructions while not being able to ask a question on Paradox Forums as they keep banning people ... and really they are stretching their own guidelines.

The only people who are able to predownload the game, are those who are getting it on game pass. Everyone else must wait till release date-time.

Game will be available in Steam and that's it. They've never indicated anything else.

It is kinda weird there is no preload though, doesn't bother me or anyone with good internet but anyone with less than fibre is probably going to be downloading for a long time

It's 2023, preloading has been a standard on steam for years which most other games allow, I mean it's preloading on gamepass so why not Steam?

It's not in its release version yet. Latest update came on Friday and will probably update ones more before launch. Maybe it will be available for preload, but only less than 24 hours before. We'll see.

I haven't asked about pre-downloading so that's irrevelant - plus i have game pass and there is no pre-download on it. it was some other option... i think it's for a different game platform only, not the PC.

I've already pre downloaded it on game pass. When you search cities Skylines 2 go into PC edition. Scroll down to "what's included" and you'll see CS2 on game pass. Click that and install it.

Steam normally allows pre-load 24-48 hours in advance of the launch, so it should turn on today or tomorrow.

mostly because i can't find it.

That's obviously for xbox only as i said, not for a regular pc gamer, isn't it?

Plus it gives the impression that I'd have to buy the game again... and still the game pass, additional money to have the game a bit earlier.... ermmm...

This would be great if they do. I will keep an eye out to see if I can pre-load the game.
