my rig is an Intel Core i7-8700k with a GTX 1060 3Gb. will it run this game at all? I only play on a 1080p monitor.
I know it's only hitting the minimum requirements :steamsad:

Probably not. Upgrade your potato.

Or better yet, get a refund while you still can.

A 1060 is basically bare minimum.

You'll probably need to run it at 720p in a window at ultra-low to get anything remotely near acceptable performance.

Mine is I7-9700F with RTX 2060 Super. Will it run properly for this game?

It will run it, but it's not going to be high performance.

I predict you'll only be able to play with 1 wind power generator and 1 house before fps drops to 2.

I have a 2070 super and i7-9700, so we're in the same boat almost.

I think this game will probably be more CPU bound though, so the GPU should not matter as much.

As for how well it'll run, my prediction is probably a mix of medium and high settings will net 60fps in the early game, with it slowing down to the 45-30fps range for the mid-late game. But I would love to be proven wrong and the performance is actually a bit better then my prediction. But if it is much worse then my prediction then I think that's going to be a refund until they can fix their game lol.

Game will not be fully optimized at launch, Developers confirmed this.

"Cities: Skylines II is a next-gen title, and naturally, it demands certain hardware requirements. With that said, while our team has worked tirelessly to deliver the best experience possible, we have not achieved the benchmark we targeted."

Personally i will wait to buy it, if Developers don't do a full work at launch, surely i not pay full price.

Probably i will play it on gamepass.

You're fine.

actually we dont know exactly what perfomance level devs means. Minimum specs can be for stable 30 on medium settings in the late game. Well, we need to wait for release anyway

Are you even able to get the newest drivers for a 1060? I'm pretty sure Nividia dropped the support last year.

Not sure how my cpu will handle it. I wish they give us settings where we can see what affects heavy on cpu/gpu/vram so we can decide what to reduce, like some other games have, The Last Of Us for example.

Is the current listed hardware requirements here on steam the updated ones or the old ones?

I think my computer might struggle with this one. Worried about the gfx card. My resolution is 2560x1600 and another monitor with 1920x1200.

I7-8700k
GTX 1080 8gb
32gb RAM @3200mhz

i think it will be more gpu bound actually.

On steam currently the hardware requirements are up to date.
