I did that, now how do I make money off the industries?
I honestly don't know. There is no window to control or see, you can just do the profit overlay to get a general idea but it doesn't mean the money is going to the city.
unreal. i'll say the industries is lacking compared to CS1. feels very basic. I tried and tried for hours to get this to work, even built a cargo line, which was confusing but it seems to work.. the only way i was able to make money off my resources was by taxing the hell out of the industries that randomly decided which material they wanted (* why can't we assign districts industrial manufacturing policies? *), and by burning the mined coal in 500 MW coal plants. That got me an income coming in fast, but its not sustainable for the long run.
Nope:
The specialized industry is "NOT" delivering goods. I noticed trains bringing IN grain and wood, but not leaving with any of it. Thats when i took a much closer look at whats going on.
At present, all the materials your factory's needs are being shipped in. Stuff that your city already makes and does not need more of also get shipped in. In short- your city ships in everything it needs, even if that need is already being supplied. Your specialized industry's that supply the basic(backbone) of the supply chains just sit there and look.... uh... they just sit there and employ people.
My extensive shipping and receiving planning amounted to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as the game currently does not work at all in these department.
-at lest i dearly hope that is the case.
Any goods currently in your city are strictly for the city. About 40% of my factory's are making office goods so my city has a massive demand for offices. (at least that is working)
if you currently have a question "how does y work, and is z broken" the answer is "bugged and broken". just wait a few months for patches and updates and enjoy the "pretty city simulator"
