Water bug with landscaping tool?
I flattened the ground where it used to be water (reclaim some land) but I am unable to get rid of the water.

I also cannot place road on the flattened ground, its saying it on water and it forcing the road to incline even though the land is flat.

I have the same problem. But also, where I have used the terraforming tool, water suddenly spikes and flow over and into the city. Even tho there should be more than enough hight for it to not happen...

you need to wait a few days and you can buid on "watery terrain" in my case

maybe open up a small river to the seas then try to landscape a mountain and gradually move the mountain to the sea?

Same issue, I tried to expand an island. Some water was still present. I tried using landscaping to make a higher elevation. Water still present. I sloped the raised land to try to get the water to flow off the island and back into the sea. Instead it was just an infinite waterfall. I then simply flattened the island back down to it's original level. Those waterfalls now became a glob of water which then tsunami'd across the entire map flooding my whole city. I left the game running for 2 hours to wait for some of it to clear out so I could try playing again. Eventuially I gave up and just built my airport somewhere else instead.

same issue. i think the map is lake something with lots of islands. the one next to the starting island that has highway running is the specific island. I flattened to higher level and the shap of this unlimited water is rectangle ish. No matter how high you terraform it, the water just doesnt disappear. My solution was to just forget about it and formed my land around the bug.

for me building a tunnel near a river brings in the water too

I speed up time but never went. there is like puddle left behind and I still cant build road on this puddle. When i try to raise the ground with the puddle as high as I can but that puddle stays even with small amount of puddle. Then that puddle expands to deep water falling everywhere. images here https://imgur.com/a/I6qMEKw

seems like using dams to control water heights does not work in cs2 apparently

Same issue

I raised the land because of flood, had water on land, like 50 meters up. I decided to build a port area, but somehow I'm stuck with a portion of water falls....

There are water spawners in the map, especially in the lakeland of whatever that was called. Covering them results all kind of funny issues.

Yes, the water source never disappears, the physics of liquids are horrible...great job devs!

*sigh* people in here are really stupid.

Go into setting and turn off the water overflow option. Problem solved.

So, excuse my stupidity, but which menu is this on?

I have checked General, Graphics, Gameplay, Interface, even Audio and input, but do see nothing labeled "water overflow"

Well, thanks. For those who were not born with a CDL, it's in option, graphic, (advanced enabled) there is a box you can check out. I just did it, we'll see if it works

This is all i saw in advanced. And checking/unchecking does not seem to change the way the water exits, it seems to just enable/disable being able to see it flowing.

Menu Option
