Tax problems
I decided to experiment and built a city without commercial and industrial areas, only with offices. And huge problems with taxes began. When government subsidies disappear, I stop making a profit altogether. The budget says that I should receive 300 thousand credits per month, but money is added at the rate of 1 credit per second. And periodically, offices stop paying taxes altogether, despite the fact that they all have high profits.

Usually if businesses aren't paying taxes they aren't making money. Maybe offices are missing some kind of resource like paper?

No, they all work and produce a bunch of products, like media. And on the map layer displaying the profitability of campaigns, they are all marked green.

What does the wealth graph look like for office?

I guess it is bugged.
I have a normal city with 100k people
I have never made plus on the money.
Always see the red arrow at the bottom.
Although I have made up to -20k/h credits, I now have over 90 million credits (money), because I always get more money, although I should actually go bankrupt.
The whole economic system is a single bug fest

Try using –developerMode in launch option, tab, gameplay enable debug winow and see if there is a clue there. shows company profit and inventory. noticed industry starts stocking concrete when they hit level 3 i think it was. Perhaps offices also need something after a certain level. And needs to drive far to get it

Yep it`s happening for me as well, I`m supposed to receive 2.3m $/monthly and it`s just 1$ per second.

thats right.... 2.3 in a month = 1 dollar a second

30 x 24 x 60 x 60 = 2.592.000

In CS2 there are 24 hours in a month. And at the third speed, every second 1 minute of these 24 hours passes.

The tax tab feels lacking. Everyone tax the same wither upper lower or middle class is a step backwards from even vanilla cs1. There's zero depth to the whole financial tab in general.

higher education = higher income thats why it's split that way. It's a simple metric.
