Flooding
How do I get rid of flooding? There is a very large amount of water just roaming through my city. I was just landscaping my coastline for a bit and for no particular reason this huge flood happened and its only getting worse, flooding more and more apparently no way to get rid of it. When I look at flow directions under the pump menu there seems to be some sort of new water source in my city, on an elevation just radiating out water. Why is this happening? Half of my city is getting destroyed. and I cant do anything.

Do you have zoning on the water somewhere? I noticed flooding in my harbor/industrial district. I zoned buildings that built over the water and it displaced the water into the district. When I removed the zoning it went away.

I flattened a lake once and some water kept spawning from the water spawn point or whatever, but after a while it finally went away. At first I thought it glitched on me.

Yes I have zoning everywhere, its like literally spreading over half my city. Should I really just remove all the zoning? What an absolute joke... Ive spend many hours building and its just ruined. I really dont mind disasters, its part of the game, but you have to be able to fix them otherwise whats the point? Its like the water is literally flowing upwards further in to my city

idk if they are in the game but it might be a tsunami

Ive disasters disabled but even if its a tsunami, the water shouldnt just like float around in the city permanently. The whole water system/model seems completely broken, ive never had this in C:S 1. Once the water is in somehow, the only solution seems to be to just buldoze everything and then raise and level the terrain to get the water out.

Just curious if you were able to sort through this flood nightmare, and if so what did you do to resolve it?

Had this issue too, and considering the state of the vanilla maps which make terraforming a necessity, it feels like the devs never even played this game themselves.

I get a new release not having all the DLC content of CS1, but these are just basic and essential features they had in vanilla CS1 that are now missing. It's mind-boggling.
