CS2 on high settings looking very bad and blurry
I'm wondering why CS2 looks so blurry and not sharp.
Even when I zoom in the cars/houses looks blurry.
I make a screenshot:

When I zoom out and move the mouse I get a bit of dizzyness.
All options are on high.
Tried AA on FXAA and SMAA but that makes no difference.

DOF is disabled, same as DRSQ, fog quality and motion blur.
I tried different resolutions: 2560x1080 and 5120x1440, but the last one is unplayable because of the stutters and is still blurry.

Anyone what I can try more to make the game sharp and a nice smooth surfaces around buildings?

Even in 4k its the same. The engine is total garbage sorry to say. Still built on DX11 as well.
It looks like dynamic resolution scaling is on from the pic

Dynamic res is disabled.
I tried it with 'constant' and 'automatic' but that makes no difference.

I get a lot better results with AA set to TAA (in graphics > advanced) and dynamic resolution off. Oddly the frame rate difference is like +/- 1-3fps but visually it's waaaay better

In the graphics > advanced tried to set it to TAA but then everything is getting more blurry then before.
Dynamic res is already off with me.

i think its a visual bug. Cos i have this issue too! Yet i stil have more than enough frames for my pc to compensate for it, but it doesn't

I had the same problem and I also get the best results with AA set to TAA.
After adding some sharpening filters with Reshade, I'm actually quite happy with how the game looks for now, though.

DOF is enabled here, as I like the effect.

In the latest video from Gamers Nexus benchmarking the game, they noticed a bug where the higher the setting, the blurrier graphics became when zoomed in, related to the mip maps setting. I can confirm this too and I've noticed it several times when playing.

But it's a trade off. Zero is the best quality but has the unsightly blurry bug zoomed in. Three makes everything slightly blurrier but textures don't get unsightly zoomed in but it also has reportedly caused crashes which were fixed by changing it to zero.

Nice screenshot!
Now I want Reshade too, maybe it 'fix' the blurry things for now.

Got to give credit where credit is due. This is the best looking screenshot of the game I have seen yet. Everybody else's looks like something from out of the early 2000's (and that includes the 'content creator' experts). Well done! ++ Award Incoming ++ :crtamazed:

Thanks!
Most games nowadays are far too blurry for my liking out of the box.
First thing I'm usually doing for a new game is slapping some sharpening filters on it.
It's almost a reflex by now. :D

May I ask what settings\pre set\plugins you use in Reshade to get that result?

Sure.
For this game I'm only using a combination of Lumasharpen, DELC_Sharpen, MagicBloom and AmbientLight. Best to try the best settings for yourself, as results can vary quite a bit depending on hardware and resolution.

Thank you very much.
In reshade I have only Lumasharpen.
I can not find the others on Reshade and on the internet.

When you're starting the Reshade installer for the first time it should let you select the packages you want to install with it.
Lumasharpen is included in the SweetFX package, DELC_Sharpen in the qUINT package, and AmbientLight and MagicBloom in the Legacy effects.
