? I have cargo train terminal active, cargo trains coming in from 2 different cities. Yet my vans are picking up mail.

Mine weren't. There was 122t of mail just hoarding there. Once I deleted the cargo train station it fixed the problem (quite quickly).

It must have something to do with the way I've set up cargo trains. No idea what though.

I never checked that figure of happiness, but mine seems to be +4 for reliable mail service.

And... Thanks! I didn't even know I could see stats of what the Cargo Terminal is holding lol.

It's having 85t of mail laying around.

Mailrate is 93k p/month -> Processing 55k per month. Should increase now I've added a 3rd PO.

Also, none of my post offices are bound to any area. Maybe that's part of the problem ? Not sure. But I never bothered to bind them to a certain area.

I'm having an issue of my only complaint in my 40k pop city being mail. which i don't understand because my two mail post offices aren't remotely close to full and only have a few truck out at a time. all mailboxes I see are empty and so i don't get it. However If I look at my mail overview it shows I am only processing a fraction of 80k needed which again makes 0 sense. I even built a post sorting facility and nothing changes. I don't have trains. I do have a cargo port but if it's the cargo port why isn't my post vans picking up the mail and processing it from the port or ships taking it away?

Is this a known bug with trains and cargo ports bugging out mail? Deleting train station or cargo port is a very dumb solution and it would delete all the other cargo i need there for my industry.

My post offices are collecting mail and the post boxes are working well. But my sorting plant has only like 10% stored mail and 0 of its vehicles are in use. Not sure whats up with it. Problem existed before and after any cargo terminals

Are you guys putting down enough mailboxes? It almost requires one each road to keep the cims happy and mail service running full capacity.

Also if you waited too long to add a bunch of mail boxes like you should you'll end up with a ♥♥♥♥ ton of unsorted mail and i dunno if this will ever fix itself.

Also looking at my local mail, both my train and ship cargo local mail fluctuates a lot.

Are you sure it requires so many mailboxes? I make sure to put enough so all the road coverage is bright green. as a test i put a bunch of mailboxes down one road I have with all high residential, it made 0 different, the building colors don't change. i see no mail going to mailboxes. My citizens are complaining more then anything about mail. my mail trucks are almost non-existent with only like 3-4 at a time out of 20 going around collecting mail. There is like 400 tons of local mail at my shipyard, but nothing is happening to it,, i see no ships taking it aware or any trucks picking it up. There is nothing in any of the tool descriptions saying anything about how close the mailboxes need to be. I'm lost.

I also have an issue at 44k pop where my people won't go to college or universities. It says for example 8k eligible for college, i have two build with upgrades but only few hundred go, even with bus lines going to them and all, I don't get it. Universities even worst, only maybe 200 between the two i built to meet capacity, that's nothing compared to the over 3k eligible.

I got the impression they didn't test end-game big cities, they only tested early game to push it out the door and sell the game. Even after you reach a certain size city you no longer unlock anything anymore. It's like they put all their focus on only the first 30k cities. I am finding everyone complaining about high rent, i have like 1% unemployment, all other services covered. And i don't know how to fix it, it's not just residential but even more so industrial and commerce complaining about high rent, the tool tip says "you may need to replace with higher density" yet there is only light industrial, so i see no way to lower rent for industries. It makes no sense to me. I mean i am making 17k a month and 44k pop and citizens are very happy but these few issues are just bothering me because i want to fix them but can't figure out what to do.

I don't quite understand how it works but for me there was a direct correlation between mail boxes and mail processing. Just cause a road is green means nothing. If you get a bunch of stars placing a mail box you're doing something right.

I basically put one on every block and sometimes even the other side of the street.

But i did this so late the system can't keep up.

As such my processing can't keep up, it clears up a bit then gets taken over again. I dunno if it will ever truely exceed the mail rate... Maybe i should build more processing centers...But i lack the land...

25 of 30 mail vans in use.

Population +3 happy with reliable mail.

Delete places hoarding mail because your vans are NOT picking up from there. It is that simple.
