Just like you can't import sewage either.
manage to pull off 200k water export with 840k operating and maintenance monthly.
my advise if you can hoop pipe lines to all you neighbors import water and export sewage from them!
(just build through the outer border of the map and a connection will be generated)

I find it weird how energy lines are on the first tile, but water and sewage you need to manually connect to the neighbor city.
I did this with the water/sewage line combo and all I exported was water and no sewage which stayed at 0
Sewage doesn’t seem to be working yet the way water and power are
