No Vehicles - Trains

I keep getting the no vehicles icon on both passenger and cargo, I have 1 train shed, all lines connected, do I have to have a flotilla of train shed? I don't like how big the stations are, not suitable for a city service.

Not 100% sure, but are you required to place a DEPOT down first?

make sure all tracks are connected to your main running line and to the stations you want to use. also might be an issue where you have too many trains assigned to your lines and your depot doesn't have enough trains to supply your train lines.

same thing for me, all connected to depot but still have this no vehicule. need a video on what to do exactly

Vehicles can go under maintence, sometimes you'll have no vehicles cause every possible vehicle is under maintenance. You can see this in the train yard or similar buildings.

only solution is build more garages to offset potential maintenance, or increase budget so maintenance is shorter i think.

I also didn't get any trains until I connected the depot to the outside line, then connected the other side of the depot to my cargo station, so that the trains go though the depot to get there.

the train depot is the object that spawns ALL your trains. Cargo and passenger. I setup mine so that its connected to a main line that my other lines have access to. It can feed in either direction so all my rail lines are working.

Make sure you connect your lines to the outside cities.

I found this out with the Airports. You can actually have your planes go to one city, then another, or all the others before coming back. I want to test this to see if it makes any difference or has an advantage.
