Cargo Trains Not working
Hello!

I'm trying to get the cargo train functionality setup but it seems to not be working. I have tried two cities - my latest one has a Rail Yard, with the right side hooked up (i.e. all four of the tracks are connected) to an outside track. I also have a cargo train terminal setup next to my industrial zone. It has 921 tn of goods. I haven't seen a single train come into the city. (Not even to cruise by).

Is there a trick to this?

As a side question, I had another city that didn't have an outside connection. I still setup the rail yard + two cargo train areas and didn't get a train to spawn between the two. Is it possible to setup something like this without an outside connection?

Thanks!

... I've just noticed you have to setup cargo routes. So that answers my second question. Should I see trains come from the outside though?

Ok, for anyone else who runs into this: You have to create a route that connects to the outside. They won't come on their own.

Tracks are a pain in the ass to make. I hate how you make them.

How'd ya do it? It just says add, not complete, is it complete?
the rail yard only has to be attached to your rail line, you don't have to start your trains from the rail yard. They will come from the railyard as needed. as a test create a railyard and put a cargo station on one end and a cargo station on the other end, make sure they are connected obviously . they you have a tool in the railyard menu where the track is that looks like a big square with small arrows. click on that, then you can connect your starting point at one cargo station to the other cargo station, then back to your first cargo station. you should hear a click showing they are connected, and it will say route completed. the freight trains will just go back and forth empty. hope that helps. It's easy once you do it a couple times.

Cargo works for me now. Trains and Trucks are coming and "Goods" are handeled...
Most important thing are the "Cargo Lines" and yes, you have to watch if the route is "runable" for the Train. This is possible in the Route Menü (for Cargo).
