nights are too dark

First off I'd just like to say that I know there's an option to turn off nights but I don't want to play with that since it would be weird never having nights.

But everything is just way too dark at night, it's impossible to see what you're doing, seeing the difference between land and water is very hard and you can forget about seeing gradients. This was much better in CS1.
It would be nice to have a settings slider for the darkness so you could adjust it based on preference.

I'd just like some indication that it's night, I don't need "no moonlight, cloudy december in the middle of the denses forest" type of darkness to satiate my desire for a day-night cycle.

Agreed, I had to disable the day/night visuals because I couldn't think and build properly during the night

I think you are only suppose to build during the day. At night you can window out to youporn and post on these forums.

That was a worry I'd expressed on a forum, can't remember which one, but your observation has disappointed me. This isn't a zombie survival game, we need to be able to see our city at night.

depends on the map your playing on and season. some places in the world its always daylight and some its always night

kinda silly though...

It does say when you pick the map if its northern or southern hemisphere

I have day/night turned on and don't see night time at all either

Well not quite, the closer to the north pole you get the shorter the days become during winter and the longer they become during summer and opposite for the south pole. To the point where it's pretty much constant day or night depending on where you are at a specific date, but then it flips.

Would already help if overall night light was customizable. I've mentioned the bad night time darkness in my review aswell. C:S1 did have the same problem, though, but it gave you a lil light under your cursor which helped to see *a lil bit*.

For aesthetic purposes, I like the night being this dark, but with no adjustable night time brightness, it's next to useless to play like that.

I also think the night is too dark , and it should be more like Simcity 5.Also I dont see buildings have any lights during the night
