Sim City 2013 destroyed the franchise - it looks like City Skylines 2 may do the same. Its a bloody shame :(

CS2 reminds me a lot of Victoria 3, another unfinished, awful game published by Paradox.

Can’t believe I’m defending Paradox but while I do see parallels, I don’t think the botched release is a death sentence for the game, the studio, or the genre. Much depends on how quick they patch and how they gatekeep future content on their proprietary shop. The modding community kept CS1 relevant for years so let’s hope they haven’t forgotten that.
