Post office bug WORKAROUND

If you're having the issue where postal services aren't sending out enough vans and this prevents building upgrades because citizens are unhappy. Just delete your train cargo station, speed up the sim until the postal services pick up again, then rebuild your cargo terminal. Unsure if this will need to be done if postal service slips back below post production.

the other solution is build a second train terminal on that cargo terminal, and build more mail boxes EVERY BLOCK.

My mail is slowly fixing itself atm after not having enough mail boxes for so long.

Cargo terminals may hold up mail but they DO export it. More trains seemed to help.

you just need to buy the land limits to the corner of the map and connect a railway line there and that's it, you have your access road.

This is still an issue for me.
20 out of 40 vans are sent out by my post office, while having only 16 employees.
About 30 percent of my city is red due to mail piling up. The buildings are everywhere in the city, even next door of the post office.

I don't have a cargo train station, so I can't delete it.
Adding a bunch of additional mail boxes changed nothing.

It's every cargo building, not just the train. Check the storage and there will be local mail being stored in there.
The mail can't be picked up from the cargo buildings, the post buildings stop sending out vans and nothing gets delivered.

Deleting them is a temp fix and it will happen again once you rebuild. Many buildings lose effeciancey because of the bad postal service.

I do have one cargo harbor, that's it.
Outgoing mail: 25t, local mail 175t.

So what you are saying is that as long as the mail remains in this harbor, that my sorting facility (partially) stops working?

It's not just Mail. Garbage and Hearse is still so slow and never ending for larger cities. Unfixable.

Yes that's right. Post buildings will continue to collect, but will not deliver while you have your cargo harbour.
Delete the harbour, let the post offices catch up for a while and you can rebuild it after all of that, but it will start accumulating local mail again and the problem will happen all over again.

I haven't been able to play this for 3 months now because of this bug.
I have many mail boxes everywhere, but they're not used.
Sorting facilities don't seem to work because they don't process or send any trucks, I can build more but it doesn't change anything. I don't have a harbor but I tried deleting my cargo train facilities, it doesn't change anything, and also weirdly enough the cargo train does not seem to store any mail at all.
It's not traffic either since my sorting facilities refuse to send vehicles.
