Shadows too Dark.

Hi, the shadows in my game are very dark, particularly around buildings. Does anyone know how I make them less dark?

Not possible. May be, reducing ambient occlusion. I think that shadows configuration is broken, low, medium and high settings changes nothing to me. Enabling shadows, smashes my gpu hard.

They're dark when far away but when you zoom in exposure should adjust.

If not maybe you have global illumination turned off, that would brighten some areas.

Thank you elGendo87. I already have ambient occlusion at low. Maybe I should try turning it off. Yes not much changes for me either when I change the shadow config. Hopefully we'll get a fix soon. I've been so spoiled with all the mods fixing everything in CS1.

Thank you Sacboy. Sadly they remain the same for me whether I'm near or far - very black shadows. I was recommended to turn global illumination off, so I did. I will turn it on again and see if that helps.

If the performance is too bad for your with GI, try fiddling with the advance settings for it.

My performance is actually excellent. I think I'm one of the few who can't complain about that. So hopefully turning it on won't make much of a difference, and it helps with the shadows. I'll report back and let you know if turning it on helped. Thank you once again.
