How to replace/upgrade only a segment of a road?
Hey everyone!

Even though devs told us there are no more nodes in the roads, I noticed that traffic still merges/changes lanes at same exact spots, so there must be some sort of nodes in each road segment.

The replacement tool is nice and all, but what if I want to upgrade a 2-lane-2-way road into 3-lane-2-way, but for a half of the road segment with 2 lanes facing one way, and then on the other half 2 lanes facing the other way?

In CS1 it was easy to do, because nodes were clear and we could divide each road segment however we wanted.

In CS2 the replacement tool just upgrades the whole road.

Anyone knows a workaround for that?

I'd also like to know.

So far I've just been deleting the road, dragging the basic road to the point I want it to go and fill the tiny gap between road and intersection with asym road piece.

Use the replace tool and try clicking on one side of the road. I imagine it's similar to upgrading the wider pavements where you have to click on both sides of the street or it's only applied to one side. With the 3 lane I imagine it'll put the 2 lanes on which ever side of the road you click on... Could be wrong just a thought :)

Thanks for your input, guys.

Still annoying that we are not able to drag the replacement tool over the road to choose how much of it we would like to upgrade. Seems quite silly not to make it like that.
