I would say buy it. try it for 2 hours and if it's not your cup of tea - refund it. Best way to go about it

It's pretty bad. It has ruined City Skylines 1 performance it's so abysmal. Since downloading this game, I can't even run the first one without issues now. Right now on my current city that I've been working on for a long time, I can't even get the policy menu to open up now. It just opens as an x like for closing a window or document in the bottom right of the screen. I have tried everything in game to fix it and it won't fix. This is after it crashed three times before I got it to play. Why was I playing this when I have 2? Because I decided that I would wait for some patchwork on the game. I can play it well enough on low settings, but my city is very small right now. I have a pretty high end PC. It's not NASA, but I can run almost any game on High or Ultra. There are one or two games out there that give me problems, but they tend to be reporting of having performance issues themselves. The other thing is that this game won't shut down properly. I have to force close it by rebooting my computer. Abysmal optimization at this point is what I can tell you. It's the one thing everybody agrees on about this game.

It's bad. A lot of players with Stockholm syndrome will tell you otherwise. Do not waste your money and at least wait about 6 months. Performance might be okay at best depending what resolution you use but it's only one of the many issues with this game. The game play is broken and not fit for purpose at the moment.

There is a fix for that. You don't need to refund if you're playing the game.

Use google? That will solve both your problems...

its good and has a solid base. listen to the graphics changes for better fps (that takes literally 5 button clicks almost) and youll be fine. the game only gets better from here and it already has massive foundational improvements over cs1

Apparently the economy is cosmetic...

-Shops and factories don't need goods/resources to generate income.
-You can't import goods by trains or ships to be used by shops or factories.
-You can't export anything.

"It looks like delivery and distribution of resources and good are not working properly. To make game playable, devs simply turned-off the requirments completely. Alternatively logic for actual "consumption" might have been not ready or too resources demanding."

Coming from a highly modded Cs1 to a Vanilla Cs2 has been a bit of a challenge for me, but... I'm going to stick with it. I was late to the party starting Cs1 because I was stills balls deep in Sim City 4 and by the time I was balls deep in that, Cs2 was announced and fell away from it in prep for this 1. It feels decent starting a game when it's brand new again and hopefully in time it will come as good as a modded Cs1, but until they get some sort of workshop, I don't know exactly when that will be. Until then, it's not great in comparison, but it's still playable.

That's literally not how computers work, CS2 has absolutely no impact on CS1 at all.
