MAPS ?
OK been a couple of days now so how big are the maps really? Are they five times larger like originally advertised or are they actually the same size as CS1 maps?

Maps seem bigger, but the buildings themselves feel four times as large as the original. So to me it's the same...

Can you build to the edge of the map? OR just to the edge of the city limits?

To me the scale is better in general. I feel like the maps feel bigger because the scale of everything doesn't feel as off as it does in CS1. That said, I don't really know if it is "bigger"...it just feels that way.

Are they no way to measure distances on CS2 maps?

the total map size is huge, much bigger than CS1 however the current playable space is smaller compared to CS1 with 81 map tile mod enabled. Maybe when we get similar mod it will be bigger but tbh with the new scaling and the way how more people fit into buildings, it feels much better

No. You have to buy plots of land which is a very large grid. Basically like v1 but the plots are smaller and there are a lot of them. However, it doesn't cover the whole map. Just a small portion of it.

The maps are bigger than with the vanilla game... but probably way smaller if you played with the 81 unlocked tiles from CS1

Thank you

Now we're finely getting somewhere. Anyway to post a screen shot of whole map with all 441 tiles selected ? Are can that even be done yet? Is there an unlimited money Mod built in ?

Anyone?

IT is bigger then the 25 tile unlock mod in CS1, but it is not bigger then the WHOLE map unlock (81 tile). Each tile is smaller then CS1s tiles, so its a little more cut up. Once we get mods that do something similar to the 25 and 81 tile unlock from CS1 it will be MUCH bigger. As there are resources outside of the total unlockable tiles on the maps, meaning that is PLAYABLE area.

You cannot buy all the available tiles, about 430 tiles or 80%.

The available area to be played right now is not too large, though larger than the 9 tiles from vanilla CS1.

The tiles are surrounded by huge swaths of currently unbuyable/unplayable areas, though mods will hopefully be released sooner rather than later to unlock them.

Smaller than 81 tiles by a lot.

Yes, indeed, but right now there is no mod or option that allows us to unlock the rest of the map, like 81 Tiles / Game Anarchy do in CS1.
