Forest industry
I'm not sure if theres a different method needed with the forest industry. I placed about 4 forest industry building in a big forest so plenty of wood buy they all seem to have o% efficency now and no wood from any trees. Have i just overdone it with the buildings so the trees can't grow back quick enough?
I've not had too much trouble with the other industrys.

Hi. I have the same problem with the barrier island. There is no green area available on the map but its should have. Or can I place the forest industry anywhere?

You can place trees manaually but it will take ages for the trees to grow. No point placing anywhere otherwise you'll be wasting money. you'd just have to import worst case.

I have had a problem with all the Specialized industries. You place it and map out an area for it to function and sometimes the original tile disappears leaving a message of no road or path access. The industry snaps to the road and even adding side streets on either side of the tile does not seem to help. At times placing the industry seems to work fine, at times it does not.

Yeah this absolutely sucks; be sure the main building actually appears before you decide to plop it down because if the main building isn't there it doesn't matter how much you zone; it won't operate

Yes, i placed the building and zoned an area from the building all in a forest area. they did start with around 100% efficiency but when i've gone back after a while it's down to zero and clicking on any tree on the area says 0 logs or whatever instead of 2000.
Not sure if you are supposed zone part of the forest then when the effeciency goes down zone the other part so it can grow back.

Going to have a play about with it anyway to see if theres another way.

I had the same problem. I just repositioned the building a couple times until it registered correctly for some reason. I'm not sure if it's a bug or I'm placing it incorrectly. I think you need to ensure that the back is open to the forest for machinery to be sent out, sort of like the landfill.

Also, you can't really individually select the building. Instead, you have to select one of the end-point error icons, and then you can reposition the building.

There are similar problems with other industry buildings not appearing and frustrating placement for the industry. It would be nice if the covered area for a logging camp was more visible on the map like other types of industry are.

There's a whole brown dirt ground effect in the entire area.

The green area will be on trees lol its not lit up like the other areas do look at the trees as you want wood,

Also make sure the building shows before building it as stated above

you know that you actually don't need to zone anything but for the for the basic plot supplied with the asset? as long as there are trees in it it will produce something, not a lot as it's a small area.

Can you post a picture for better understanding? describing it doesn't help much.

Ground and air pollution affects trees, they wil become 0%, keep rest of industry away from the forest area.

Check from the info views--> natural resources, that the trees/area where you want build forest industry is green, if it is grey, % wont grow.
