Please give me the option to turn off the seasons
As with day and night, I would also like to be able to turn off the seasons. Thank you.

Check the maps without winter. Why do you want to turn off this most detailed feature?

Simulation or not... we were able to do it in the first Game too.

We weren't because there wasn't seasons...... Just snow or no snow :steamfacepalm:

Not talking about seasons. I get that, but just turning the rain "animation" off. Cause it looks so bad + the already performance problems.

Not speaking for OP but I live in the southern hemisphere and like to imagine my city also being there - we don't generally experience snowy winters so the option to turn off the snow would be welcome :)

I doubt this will ever be an option as it's too hooked in with the simulation.

ie Winter comes around and heaters go on, summer comes round and air conditioning goes on, uses more electricity, autumn and spring you should see drops in electricity.

Adds more depth to the simulation, but I suspect it's hard coded in which is why you won't be able to turn seasons off.

With absolute respect for any different opinions, I set out my opinion:
1 Building a complex city
2 Manage it from all points of view
3 Everything else is superfluous

just not a fan of it. Snow makes it harder to see what you're doing

I imagine they could have left out visual changes from Seasons, while keeping the gameplay impact active. A bit like how we can toggle day/night cycle off.

Hit my towns first winter earlier, and screen being white everywhere does make it somewhat more difficult to play around. Like how during night time it's harder to see what you're doing.

Then once people are mostly done with their cities, they could have enabled said visual feature back on. Be it for screenshots or w/e other reason.

There’s a video on YouTube that shows how to play the game in developer mode. There’s all kinds of options for turning off the weather elements, changing, temperature, etc..

I’m thinking that, since it already exists in the code, it may be pretty easy to come up with a mod once the mods get up and running
