Zoning Background Colour Issue
Is there a way to change the Zoning background colour so that it is not white, I'm having issues with placing commercial zones where the ground becomes bright white making it extremely difficult to see the areas that I could zone.

I've been looking for answers to this for one hour.

Commercial AND Industrial zoning backgrounds are so bright for me, that not only do I barely see the grid or even my cursor, but my eyes start hurting within seconds of popping up that menu. And I haven't seen anything helpful in the game options.

Commercial is white because you want to zone in the areas that show color. Look at the commercial box in the top left and highlight over Customers. There will be a color bar. Then look for that on the map and zone your commercial there.

Industrial is white so that you can see the farming and mining areas on your map. Go to specialized industrial and click the different icon to see where to build for those. Also, you can hit i to better see.

whatever technical or gameplay reason it has, it is physically hurting my eyes. Can it be dimmed down, from in-game settings?

I'd say give us a zoning Dark Mode. I should not have to flash bang myself every time I press the commercial zoning tool or other heat map modes that use bright white.

Yes. I just wish they had a setting to disable the white by default. If I want the info mode for any reason, I'll hit it myself. Going back and forth between normal mode and info mode is jarring and unnecessary.
