Cant be, the sycophants tell me other than having to turn off your graphics the game is perfectly playable, must be lies
I have the exact same issue, only able to export electricity and water.
Anyway, CS1 was, it seems, buggy with low FPS on launch as well. And the devs fixed it. They're communicating on issues, and acknowledging them. So somewhere in the middle ground between those two extremes is more reasonable.
You can even choose the save interval and how many saves to keep.
