Exporting problem
I'm trying to play my second map and can't export anything from cargo train station or cargo harbor. Vehicles just don't pick up the goods! And the amount of goods like getting stuck at one number and doesn't increase.
Currently I have 2 working lines at my harbor, ships come and go and they keep being empty! Quite irritating. Anyone knows how to fix it?

The export is only shown as vehicles still there, it doesnt show the average amount moving, so once a vehicle is done exporting, the amount goes to zero.

No it doesn't export because I check the cargo hold and it only piles up.

This is an ongoing issue and the developers are aware of it. Its just a bug. If you go to their official forum you can find a whole bunch of posts about. If anyone else has any issues i recommend looking at their forum rather than steam discussions because the devs are actually active over there.

Ok so it's not just me staring at cargo terminals behaving like warehouses.

+1. Only imports work. Game-breaking. Someone needs to hotfix this today...

This is a known bug I believe

Due to issues with the supply/demand and export systems all exports are exclusively done via trucks, cargo routes dont work currently and are disabled

wow so thats about 2 hours wasted, unlocking trains, placing the yard and cargo station, connecting tracks, connecting a route, watching the trains come in full and leave empty even though my storage is loaded with stuff, does anything in this mess of a game work as intended?

The performance isn't as terrible as people say but this is an actual issue. Gameplay is the most important.

^^ this ^^

You will not earn money from exporting goods as YOU do not own the goods, the businesses own them,
If you import goods notice you pay ZERO for the imported goods as the businesses pay for the imports as they require them,
Only time you will see goods being exported OUT is when you transfer them from one city to another you built not a AI city,
Industrial buildings import goods make products and then sell them to shops or export them to other citys you own if you require the goods and that are not linked to a AI trading Post (otherwise they will import and fill storage),
You earn money from the taxes from the income these businesses get from selling the goods made from importing and producing products, generating resources rather than importing causes more income for you in taxes as the businesses expenses are lower as not requiring imports,
therfor profits are higher and you get more taxes,
REMEMBER GOODS ARE NOT OWNED BY YOU.

it's your guesses not an official statement, so ok. Given the import/export system is clearly broken there's a lot of space for speculations of what was intended and what not.

And even if it were (which is not so clear at the moment) then it is still broken. Either the export really isn't right, or they at least need to adjust the figures under production...

If it says that I export XY tons, then the stuff has to physically leave the city... and that's exactly what not happens or didn't happen. (Regardless of who owns the stuff!)

Even your beautifully written words don't help...

And by the way, the special industry is still broken... I have several grain farms, the majority of which supposedly still produce exactly what I had at the beginning with one farm... and that's where the problem starts... 400 tons produced by myself, but 4000 tons imported... the system is more than broken at the moment... even for a fan like me there's nothing to defend at the present time.

as long as you have industry and offices you can produce the items,
these items are sold in shops and are not exported,
it states in the game that only sewage, electric and water can be exported to AI,
This is why there is no stats or sale reports on exports other than SERVICE EXPORTS as they are the only ones that can export,
otherwise you would be bankrupt from the automatic imports from AI,
with a automatic import and export system you would be buying all goods at a high value and sell them back at a lower value, (Broke Very Quick)
To allow ownership of goods to make income from exports then import and exports would need to be Manually Set by the player,
But we don't own the goods so city skylines 2 can use a automatic system as your income is from taxes.
