I have a 4090 and it runs the game PERFECTLY, over 100fps at 1440p with no stutters and most graphics settings at high.
That is exactly why people are complaining. If you have the best hardware on the market and the first official tip is 'play in 1080' on top of 'turn off depth of field and clouds' and the game looks atrocious. Even cities 1 looks better in 4K at that point.
I am fine with those official tips and turning it down, but they really should upload screenshots and trailers with these official recommended settings. Because the way they present the game now is just false marketing.
i didnt even play it, i installed the game on gamepass, but as soon as i saw the 15fps on main menu i uninstalled.
Bruh. Why does a city management game have motion blur to begin with? 🤣
Maybe do what I did and experiment with the graphics options a bit before raging out like a child about it?
Set high preset then disable global illumination because it uses ray marching (similar to ray tracing) and it's practically imperceptible on or off, disable volumetric clouds because who needs that... disable DoF, motion blur, and volumetric fog because they always make games look worse... then enable TAA to get rid of the flickering jaggies. That's all I did. Game is silky smooth, no stutters, no problems at all, looks fantastic. I didn't need help with this, and I didn't freak out the first 5 minutes in the game without trying anything like most people are apparently doing.
I honestly don't understand getting 15 fps on the menu... there is something wrong with your PC or there is something seriously wrong with the game that only affects certain hardware configs. I lock at 120fps on the menu with vsync on and resolution set to 2160x1440x120
I don't even have a great CPU, it's a R5-3600. I do have a 4090 though.
There's apparently a bug with the cash flow calculation, the one that's always listed at the bottom of the screen. Right now mine is -2000/hr and my money just keeps going up and up. I just sat and watched it for a while and sure enough I was making money non-stop while it was telling me I was losing it.
