Save File Missing

I made a save of my game before shutting down for the night. I did a cloud save. When I load the game, it asks me to "resume" or "play". When I mouse over "resume," it shows me the name of the city I was playing and some details about it. When I click the button it starts to load the game, but then takes me to the paradox launcher where my only option is to start a new city. Where is my saved game, and how can I play it again?

I did it. But i dont know exactly, how.
I installed the official Paradox Launcher via the Paradox Homepage and linked my Steam Account to the Paradox Account. After that, Cities via Steam works fine with the correct saves...

This has happened to me also, lost my save file. I can click resume and I see my city, but then the games take me to main menu where can only start a new city.

My save file is also gone. Only the "AutoSave" files are still there... Was wondering when i just continued why something from last night was missing...

Also lost mine, saved mine multiple times during game play and before quitting. I pressed "Resume" on the launcher in which it does show the name of my city but it takes me to the main menu.

Just ran into this as well, but I was able to find my missing save file by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\80152231\949230

I was then able to copy the city's *.♥♥♥ and *.♥♥♥.cid files into the savegame location here and continue playing: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\Saves\76561198040417959

(NOTE: Those numbers are probably different on your computer? But you navigate to one of the upper files like \userdata\ and search "*.♥♥♥" you should be able to find the save file fairly easily; if it's there!)

If a save file is corrupted then it is no longer shown as a viable file choice.
If one autosave is corrupted then all of the autosave files will be corrupted.
Game is not playable in this state.

Mine suddenly reappeared yesterday.

Same here. saved the city and exited the game yesterday. now the save file is nowhere to be found

Never do a cloud save.
More problems than positive efects.

I had this problem long time ago and since i save local, never had any problems with savegame.

Another info.
Turn Autosave ingame on (5 min or whatever you like).
So you have allways a savegame even if your computer shuts down.

Nothing is more sad if you build and build and after a few hours your computer says bye bye.

Guess i join the club. game froze on saving, lost a few hours of progress, especially annoying since my last valid save is before i managed to get an airport properly placed. Just make hundreds of saves. especially new ones after you finished something important... and dont F5 overwrite save that stuff. f... i think i am done for now. this was heartbreaking

My corrupt saves are not present there. Only viable ones that I abandoned because my city was terrible.
