Settings?

Dynamic resolution makes it look terrible I've seen.

Other than that, obviously "low" settings are gonna look... low quality.

Something is wrong with it that's for sure. I've seen videos of people playing on Medium / High and the city looks good but on my end it looks like absolute garbage. Not sure what I'm missing.

I complain in all yt vídeos from pré release how ugly is the game, looks like a móbile game, no bump map on textures, so flat and clean very strange

Try this: Toggle to advanced graphics settings, go to AA, chose the last one and then in the next option the TAA.

I'm playing with most things set to high, level of detail set to medium, volumetrics set to low, and dynamic resolution disabled. I think the game looks great! However, I do have the day/night cycle turned on because I noticed the lighting used when the day/night cycle is turned off is pretty terrible and makes everything look flat.

This was what cleaned it up for me.

Too much grey for my taste. Not a great look!

+1 - although there is a difference in map performance. Play the smaller ones without snow and rain first.
For me it looks good and runs acceptable for a city builder where most things don't move. But I seem to fail at being a decent mayor. Started the third city now and I always end up in rowhouse villages with traffic issues. I need to learn more. ^^

agreed. I have a hefty machine and can run in full detail but feel rather disappointed with the way it looks. Feels very 'meh'.
