Game Speed

Hi everyone, I have my have speed at 3 and it feels like time is moving in the game slow. Approximately 2-3 real seconds for every minute in the game. Is that the same for everyone or is something wrong on my end.

You are not the only one, given the phletora of complains in the forum.

As for me, I cannot compare my speed with yours, but what I can say the simulation is definitely slower compared to CS1, though still playable.

Yeah, very slow simulation im just unsure if its a hardware or game characteristic. Hope CO can verify

I think its too slow. Need to speed up the simulation or offer us more speed choices. I'll be 100 years old by the time i reach all the progression milestones

there is a setting somewhere, i think in gameplay options, where you can set the game to prioritize simulation speed, have you tried that?

You can unlock all milestones on your first city so you can see and experience the new stuff. It goes very fast that way.

it makes no difference to unlocking stuff, unless you mean the 3 speed settings not making a difference for you, in which case your PC can't keep up.

The only thing I've noticed that makes a difference for me is dropping my resolution. Going from 1440p to 1080p doubled the simulation speed. Nothing else made any difference.

I have the same "speed" problem - even on max - the days literally tick by... Like Peter I do not have time to complete this game if they keep this up... a

I just tested dropping the game resolution as suggested above. Here's the results:

3440x1440 @ 120hz - 30 mins of game clock at max speed took 32 secs of real-world time.


1920x1080 @ 60hz - 30 mins of game clock at max speed took 23 secs of real-world time.

Lowering resolution DOES make the game clock move faster.
