Ultimate Edition or a new 600 USD game?
So, from what I see here, there is a Ultimate Edition. An Ultimate Edition should cover all future DLC if marketed as such. Can anyone confirm this is the case? Or else its not an Ultimate Edition, if Paradox want to sell 60+ dlc packs after buying what is an Ultimate Edition. Then it`s fals advertisement. I know how much Paradox loves there extra dlc`s after paying a premium price of 90 dollar.

Bro, what does the DLC even offer? I just bought the regular version.

San francisco set which is just the golden gate bridge and a radio station and the san francisco map, and I think some bridges and ports or whatever and some extra beach side houses which won't even be released until Q1 2024.

No thank you. I'd rather wait and see what the modding community has to offer. Many people wouldn't pay $90 for a game, huge L for paradox/CO
The store page is clear that the ultimate only includes the San Fran set, Bridges and ports, the beach properties asset pack, two content creator packs, and some radio stations. It is not an unlimited pass for all future DLC.

"Ultimate" is just a meaningless word used for marketing purposes. It has no legal weight whatsoever.

That is the problem. You know how much the last game cost in total? It was over 600 usd for everything. See why im worried? So lets say they are going to add 60+ packs of dlc on top of the 90 dollar ultimate edition.

Most of that is just asset packs and useless radio stations though. The few game-changing DLCs cost a bit but you can wait for sales or get them in bundles down the line to save money if you can wait.

Not going to happen to be honest. Even the 50%-70% off its still 300 dollar for a game.

I guess it depends on what you consider to be essential DLCs. For me the only essentials for CS1 are mass transit and after dark. I also bought a few others I considered good-to-haves but non-essential (snowfall, industries, and natural disasters). Those two essentials plus the base game are still reasonable at full price of about CDN$ 70.00, but I got them for less on sale.

Well, i like to see the the bigger picture of the scheme here. Most of the packs, should have been included. Especaly things that changes the gameplay for the better as you mention. Playing the base game, is not much fun without those. Lucky i have gamepass on xbox both for the xbox and pc, and its there, without me having to pay the price.
