I bought CS1 as a physical copy. The "DVD" was a CD and it only had a steam installer on it.
I see. But why is there no word from CO nor Paradox on where to activate the game?
Source?
This is Cities: Skylines II, not Simcity (2013).
According to the MediaMarkt site, an Internet connection is required. But what for?
Paradox should shed some light on activation and DRM methods used in physical and digital releases asap.
Here's a news story I found about their stance on DRM.

And workshop, I hope so. None of this third-party BS some are switching to.
The typical Steam treatment for the Steam version. But what about physical releases?
Some places sell the Premium Edition (Ultimate Edition on Steam) for 14% off. Where do they activate? Buy there or buy here? That's the big question.
