there are NO scenarios atm in the game, which means for me the game is rather a sandbox endevour on limited number of predetermined maps, which will end up in return already after two maps in boredom for me, similar to CS1, cause there was a scenario editor but quite a bad one.
the game also doesn't have, same as CS1, an editor for randomly generated maps. that would be at least sort of a minimal scenario editor, but nope. just a handful of handcrafted maps, which means any additional map has also be painstackingly handcrafted, which then means, the maps are meant for huge cities to grow bigger & bigger on the very same map. result for me - boring.
add to that the announced absence of the Steam Workshop & the atm only announced necessity to go through the Paradox Mods channel io to use any kind of mods & to play CS2 becomes for me totally convoluted.
i don't want even mention all the other problems the game has atm after release, those are for me on top of my number one wish for CS2 - the absent good, well thought out, better than CS1 Scenario Editor. it doesn't look like my wish gets fulfilled.
so - NO BUY from me.
I loved the "Fix the Traffic" and "Trains" Scenarios. The Serrekunda one uploaded to the workshop is SOOOO EPIC. Wish there were more like that out there.
If they don't add them in, that will be disappointing to say the least. The community didn't really seem engage or really care about the CS1 scenarios, or upload any worthwhile ones as the modded content grew. That's the only reason I can think of for them passing it up on release.
