Ultimate Edition does NOT guarantee the final/complete version? Yes or No?

Right? I mean if I preorder the Ultimate Edition it says it gives me an "Expansion Pass", but only 3-4 future expansions are listed as included:

- San Francisco Set
- Beach Properties Asset Pack
- Content Creator Packs x 2 (Urban Promenades/Modern Architecture)
- Bridges & Ports Expansion
- Radio Stations x 3 (Deluxe Relax Station/Soft Rock Radio/Cold Wave Channel)
- PRE-PURCHASE BONUS: LANDMARK BUILDINGS

... So, is that going to be ALL the future content for the game? Because if not, then the Ultimate Edition and its Expansion Pass aren't really Ultimate nor that is a true Expansion Pass, right?

For example what if in 2025 they create an Airports Expansion. Will my Expansion Pass cover for it - as part of the Ultimate Edition game version - and will the Airports Expansion be included for free for me? Or will I have to buy that expansion, despite buying their Expansion Pass now?

Note that a "Season Pass" is very different from "Expansion Pass." A Season Pass means you'll get only the seasonal content if you buy it (for ex. 1 year). But an Expansion Pass means you'll get all the expansions if you buy it - regardless of how late in the future they appear.

So what is really going on here?

Of course it won't be ALL the content, if it's anything like the Cities Skylines we have now then you can expect countless DLC's and years of support and updates, so it's just not feasible to expect them to give us that for free, especially considering it's Paradox we're on about here :P

What I'm wondering is if you get all of the DLC from release until Q2 2024 because that is when the ultimate edition DLC extravaganza ends according to the store page. It would be real ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for example if you bought the Ultimate Edition and there was a random DLC released in Q1 2024 but you don't get it because it's not included in the Ultimate Edition "Expansion Pass." I know there will be more DLC after Q2 2024 but we should at least get everything up until then if you got the Ultimate Edition.

You won't. It's for specific items, not a season pass.

It's called Expansion Pass, meaning we should get all the Expansions though. I work in marketing by the way and they didn't word this in the most honest way lol. :D

Expansion pass, containing these 8 items. I felt it was extremely clear what you get.

Usually an expansion pass means that you get all DLC for a specific season imo.

Nope an Expansion Pass has always meant you get the specified DLC while a Season Pass is everything released in a specified time period, nothing confusing or dishonest here.

As for naming the version Ultimate that is just the term currently being used in the industry for the version that includes the most content as part of the package at launch.
