Why are the people whining about walkable cities?
I think everything points to the fact that they live in a country side area or local communities but have zero concept or clue about how Metropolitan areas work and operate. They assume ancient cities they currently live in that were built in the 15th centuries is the way things should be.

It’s funny when even in their countries they claim walkability, they have avenue roads right next to the “walkable” pedestrian paths and towns.

I don’t want to point fingers but EU citizens are notoriously annoying for making these statements. “You’re an American you don’t live right” Shanghai, Tokyo, Sao paulo Brazil. I can keep going on.

Can people let the devs show what they're doing before making dumb assumptions?

Doesn't even know what his post says.... Your as bad as the post asking "what's a preorder and who would do it."

AI traffic and parking lots are confirmed by dev interviews. But since you refuse to educate yourself. You are now trying to deflect to some random other topic because you have nothing of note to say? Got it. Typical cs2 steam troll confirmed.

You are the kind of person to think that everything CO does is Just and right. They could literally put a DLC road system and you would be 100% okay with that.
Oh no supporting a company that makes a great game..... How dare I!?!

It's not great if it has bugs and glitches and poor performance. CS1 was kind of alright. But this new game could be really bad in the final product, they hyped the Hell out of it. What aren't you understanding?

That's going to be a pain the azz when making parking lots, unrealistic sidewalk sizes. I really hate that they used such huge sidewalks for something so simple. And plain sidewalks at that, sidewalks have grooves in them, not just pure concrete. I'm sure that's common in Europe to have just pure concrete sidewalks

First and foremost.
Sidewalks come in many different shapes and sizes. They always have. Some are large, some are teeny tiny, some curve, some are straight. The whole point of the new game is that sidewalk decoration is now a proper thing for beautification as well as reducing pollution factors. For that you need decently sized sidewalks so you can plant trees, put trashbins and similar objects along them.

Secondly, European cities have paving stones, the US primarily just use concrete for pavements. It's evident that the video is with a US theme.. The Traffic lights give it away.

Parking lots are native in the game, they've already showed them and talked about them. Don't know how you missed it.

Sidewalk size will depend on the size of the road and whether there is parking and other gadgets attached. It always was. The more lanes there is including road parking, the smaller the sidewalk - down to a minimum of 1m (which is possible, but has quirks when you modded them that small).

A lot of hot air, for a person that doesn't seem to know his/her basic European/US city styles, not knowing some of the most basic features of roads in CS1 and most definitely in CS2 as well as not paying any attention to the videos.

for someone who can't use Google Earth to see that parking lots aren't constructed with thick concrete paving, like how cities skylines is.

I think devs said sidewalk width can be ajusted with the road upgrade tool

This should contribute to the urban heat island effect (see my urban heat island thread).

To punish excessive sidewalk and asphalt.

Man, you're either blind or dumb.. Most likely a combination of the two. Not a single parking lot that have been shown has concrete, they have asphalt.

Yeah you are what you mentioned. I was referring to the thickness of the concrete island planters in real life, I know parking lots can be made with asphalt or white parking lots can be made out of concrete. Or a better question is, you really have no idea what the real world looks like, do you? Bye Felicia.

I have been moaning forever about the small size of sidewalks in CS1, and here is someone complaining about decent sized sidewalks?!! You can't please everyone, of course, but someone not liking decent sized sidewalks totally bizarre. Probably whining about the new turn around for trams next.:steammocking:

Maybe you should see how the world works. Real life parking lots don't require thick concrete like that. You're the kind of person to get overly excited for a new game, but when it drops you start saying it's not that great.

Was it not enough to get banned once?

Ah, an American I see. I know your sidewalks are often perilous death gutters, but European cities are very walkable and sidewalks often quite wide.
