Seasons...
Would like to see seasons become something players have to deal with.

So in CS we had different types of maps that affected the weather, but I'd like to see each map contain seasons.

For Example:
- A temperate climate map that has winter, spring, summer, and autumn.
- Tropical maps that have a rainy season.
- A snowy map that has all four seasons, but obviously a much harsher winter, mild summer.
- Desert map with mild winters, and harsh summers.

As for the time scale used, I'd suggest handling seasons/weather in a similar way to the existing day/night cycle, not based on the actual time, day, or month, but say have each season last 6 months, a year, or more so we're forced to deal with it for a reasonable amount of time.

This in turn could lead to different disasters in different climates. Some are more likely to get tornados, some more likely to get snow storms, maps more susceptible to drought, etc. Would make each type of map more unique, and have an effect on city life, eg farming would be affected by droughts, snow, etc.

Not suggesting all of that should necessarily be achieved in CS2, but something that could be added, then further fleshed out over time in CS3, etc.

Seasons are great, but you know what I don't want? In City Skylines I would play on tropical maps and still have to build a heating system for the whole city. I mean why? The temperature dropped to 40 degrees F, and its a winter emergency?

Actually i remember was mod in CS which made seasons. Grass and trees changed colours like in trailer, but it works only with vanilla

The leaked achievement list suggests there are seasons in CS2:

Four Seasons (10G)
Experience all four seasons by building a city in a climate with a snowy winter.
