Please allow us to make cities that do not rely on car-first infrastructure to solve every problem.

Just play a medieval game then where you can simulate serfdom in peace. Leave us architects alone please.

My first thought of the title was you were asking if we could go to ground level and walk about the city. Now I want to be able to drive around the cities we create like that Sim City spinoff.

That would be ideal.

That’s literally in the dlc

If it's another Robert Moses car planning game, then I'll be extremely disappointed. Hopefully we can build something based on more contemporary ideas and leave that long outdated post-WWII planning behind.

You sound like an American who has never seen an actual walkable city like Amsterdam.

We basically need mixed-use buildings and better PT management options to be able to create proper cities for the citizen rather than the commuter.

All these europeans don't realize there are cities of same population as amsterdam in the USA that take up to nearly five times the land area.

Guess everything IS smaller in europe.

Or maybe Amsterdam is just better planned than any of those cities.

I saw a youtuber who made a video where people mostly got around via paths. The problem was, the whole design completely drained all of his funds. Somehow paths took more upkeep than roads. Logic 101 being used there.
