Yes it is. You are moaning about a game that cost 2.99. If you can't afford it, then play on your phone. If you're too tight to support the Devs, play on your phone. Moaning about it is pointless. A free option to the game with crossplay exists. We pay for it on Steam because 1. It supports the Devs. 2. We're paying for the superior version.

The whole reason it's free is because there's ads. There's no ads on the Steam version. It's entirely logical.
