Remove the medbay scan task

This task makes it so that it's very obvious who is innocent, and can be used to easily find the impostor

for proof, I was just in a game that ended after one kill. due to there only being two people who didn't get scanned

If you're having troubles dealing with the medscan task, close the medbay door and/or start a sabotage. If you don't like it, set common tasks to zero.

Not even deleting it, more like making it so it isn't obvious to everyone who gets a scan. And it isn't because we think its cheap way of losing, we think its a cheap way of winning, when you know who isn't an imposter because they immediately went to a scan room and stood still with a neon sign saying they're not.

We've had multiple games that ended in 5-7 minutes because everybody that got scanned just wrote it down and called out the people who didnt. Something as simple as making the location to get scanned not auto lock (so that the person getting scanned isn't absorbed to a single spot) and have the scan animation take place in a window that opens up like everything else, or be client sided. That way the impostor can pretend to get scanned as he can pretend to do the tasks on his fake task sheet

Closing medbay doors as impostor only procrastinates your demise, and setting common tasks to zero takes out tasks we DONT want to get rid of/can only be done as host, which if everybody hosts then there isn't anybody to play.

So far thats the only gripe I have with the game itself, playing 2 days and i'm already hooked. You have a great game on your guy's hands

Scanner was still a bit op even after we let impostor use it because people were watching the taskbar (which didn't go up when Impostor used scanner), so we made scanner a long task and put fix wires in common instead. Impostor can still use it when it comes up in their fake tasks, and since it comes up less often, it should be more fair.

For anyone stumbling over this discussion.
I made a small modification to disable those animations. This will only change the animation on your end though so you have to make sure everyone in your playgroup uses it.

To my understanding, they made med scan a long task, which i believe people can't have duplicate long tasks or at least if they do its not one that everyone would have. And the imposter can use the scan so they can fake doing the task in the event it shows up on their fake list

I guess this doesn't function properly when practicing in freeplay? I can't use the scanner as impostor, on freeplay.

If you're a good impostor, everyone should be dead before they start noticing you aren't doing long tasks anyway.
