Tutorial- stuck at how to build radar

Im having trouble with this, I go to the location to build a radar, and I do not see any icon for the radar in the build section... any help is appreciated...

you cant do it with your commander

if anyone is new to the game and is stuck at this part, just select the engineers, that`s the unit capable of building the radar.

More specifically, a T1 commander can only build "basic" structures. Mass storage, energy storage, radars, things of that nature are NOT able to be constructed by a T1 commander. However, T1 engineers can still produce these "advanced" buildings. Furthermore, a T2 commander can then swap back to the T1 tab and then they are able to build those "advanced" t1 buildings like radar. Hope this clears things up for anybody in the future reading this post.
