Are Souls Rippers overpowered (especially against Seraphim)?
Are they? Why or why not?

It's just that my friend keeps sayng that they are when i use them against him in mass... I looked at local forums and some also mentioned them as being overpowered....Are there any good tips you would give him to help fight Soul Rippers?
from what i've done in the past is spam T2 Flak and fighters lol. Not sure if it is the right way, but it works for me. :Crowned:

ehm, build antiair? seriously have you calculated how much T3 Fighters you can build for the prize of a soulripper? if he says it's op he's just trolling

Most experimentals sent on mass could be considered op.
Ninjareaper357 May 26, 2014 @ 3:43pm
nah, the seraphim ex. bombers are more op

A ball of T2 fighter-bombers typically work well enough, especially when mixed with T3 superiority fighters. But a Soul Ripper alone is easy pickings not a problem, you should only begin to worry when it's guarded by a bunch of T2+T3 fighters and hope you have enough AA defenses to work through that.

yeah,no, dont do that, T2 Fighters are uttter crap against t3 fighters
you should get 80+ T3 Fighters for the rpize of 1 soulripper (i didnt look up values it's probably even more) so that means if you enemy has 20 fighters and 1 soulripper and you dont have enough fighters to kill them then you have lose the game long before

Honestly, and I'm saying this politely, any game that gets to experimentals went on way too long and is likely going to be a loss. Most matches end in T2 or the beginning of T3 for me. If Soul Rippers are flying around then there has been a huge mistake of letting it get built. If you do see a Soul Ripper, take all your leftover aircraft and ball them up as I said and build T3 fighters to take it down. Games just shouldn't get to experimentals though unless people are really trying to.
It also really depends on the veterancy : Soul Ripper vet was nerfed in faf for this reason, when they get veterancy they get a lot of their hp back (enough to go and kill a base that just might kill them). Advice is to manually destroy (with ctrl+k) as many useless units as you can, since they will die anyway and only feed the soul ripper veterancy.

ITT: *en masse

Soul Rippers aren't overpowered, your friend just probably doesn't have the necessary defenses.

If you play with http://www.faforever.com patch it will be balanced. The wiki is a good place to learn counter offensive tatics (http://supcom.wikia.com/wiki/Cybran_Experimental_Gunship).

From wiki:
"The weapon of choice to defeat Soul Rippers is T3 SAM anti-air turrets, which deal massive bursts of damage, and have missile tracking. "

If you watch some pro fights, this experimental appear to be very fragile (like the game appear to easy for them hehe).

Me and my friend like to play where we build up forces first too full tech and full capacity and then attack eachother in ana epic all out war.....like nations at war...

They're not OP you just need good defense to counter them.:missing:

Nothing is specificly good against seriphim. They are OP. Just take a look at their T2 sheilds and compare them to the UEFs they are much better. there tanks are also a lot better
