4 factions.
1 campaign.
Good faction diversity, good story, good balance(more powerfull units take very long to build)
Stealth systems, radar systems, upgradeable units, structure's and commanders, units get ranks.
Planatery annilation:
1 Faction.
Galatic conquest mode.
12 vs 12 match's.
Round battlefields(planets duh) so there is no area you cant be attacked from.
Planets can be blown up via death star or smashing them into eatchother.
Orbitial units.
Limeted veratity, lack of upgrade's, games are over in 30 min tops.
Personal opion:
Supreme commander forged alliance is better then plantery annialtion titans.
But both are worth getting.
Supreme commander forged alliance is a stand alone expention of supreme commander.
It wasnt copied so much as it try to bring the feeling to a modern times.
Computers are alot more powerfull now.
Planatery annilation focuses more on mass amounts of units, blowing up planets, etc.
It is basicly the grandchild that tries to be like grandpa and father but isnt quiet there yet.
FA is an amazing game (I would go in depth but it would likely end up as a book) that has some features most RTS games that have recently come out don't have.
strategic zoom. with strategic zoom you can zoom out all the way and see the whole map. all the units change to icons (unless you change it so the icons always show like I did). it allows you to always look at the big picture and see how the game is going. it is also really good for casting because then the castors can show most of the action (if you want an example of casting I suggest checking out Gyle or BRNKoINSANITY on youtube). you can also quickly go from spot to spot micro managing everything that needs to be micro managed (but as long as your macro is good you should be fine). this is a feature that should be in every RTS game but sadly most don't know about it.
flux economy. unlike most games FA has a flux economy which means you don't spend everything at once to build a unit. it also allows for some more interesting strategies and some crazy build orders.
tier tech system. not really a whole lot to say but this is one thing I really like about FA. while sometimes it does feel a bit cool to upgrade units and stuff with a tech tree I think the tier system FA uses is in the end a better system. with each tech the units get bigger, more effective, and a lot cooler (although when you look at resource efficiency the only advantage is range and veterancy when you get to the experimentals)
there are a couple downsides to FA though. the first one is that it is kinda hard for new players to learn the game (but there are a lot of guides. I suggest checking the FAF wiki.). the other downside is that it takes a lot of processing power for some games (usually those on eco maps like setons clutch and gap of rohan, games with AI in them, and survival games) and it can only use one cpu core efficiently. if there are too many units the game slows down. while I am not sure on the minimum processor that truly works good for most matches but I do know that an i5 4690k is good.
now for graphics.... PA has a cartoon style of graphics which in my opinion is worse. FA doesn't require a really good graphics card but if you do have a good one (or at least average) I suggest turning everything up to high.
SC2 is ♥♥♥♥
PA/PA Titans is nice. But SC:FA is excellent.
