Anyway ill give a very brief concept guide on each faction.
Uef- Probably one of the most conventional factions in SupCom their main focus is on health, alpha strike/initial shot damage and defensiveness.
Cybran- The core philosophy of the cybran faction is aggression and versatility. They specialize in fast movment, high fire rate, stealth and aoe weapons.
Aeon- The aeons military philosophy revolves around efficiency(in mass and power) and hyper specialization. Their main strength comes from their specialization and versatility versus units of other factions. To give a example aeon t1 tanks have least amount of health than every faction but they out range every faction as well so they can kite groups of units they also can hover like many of aeons units so they can cross water and hard terrain easier.
Seraphim- Seraphim is mix of alot of thing but If I had to pick some I would specialization and well rounded. Seraphim units often have the 2nd highest hp in-game with decent rate of fire and damage along with having the best stationary shield and moblie shield in-game.
Hope this helps OP!
Perfect descirption for Aeon - and precisely why it's my favourite faction.
However, I advise that you develop as little perception of factions as possible before experiencing each of their play styles for yourself. I made sure to understand the specific strengths and weaknesses of each and every unit in the game -from both the perspective of fighting with and fighting against- before I settled upon a preferred faction. In my opinion, this is the best way to find a faction that both holds your stylistic/narrative/philosophical infatuation and enhances your personal style of strategic play.
Playing each campaign is a good way to discover the style of each faction. But finding your strategic mold will require hours of experimental (not just the T4 sense) gameplay.
Cybran good for assasinate - Quick travel speed and have stealth.
Aeon good for multi terrain attack but have the worst Shield generator in the game.
their shield generator is 2nd best. stealth field generator though...
and their long-range arty was better for.
as for UEF benefits - perhaps Mavor may be interesting option if you insisted on turtling.
as for cybrans - combined forces with scathis within and solid power-grid - tend to out-gun outher factions long before they get t3 arty, usually(atleast on medium-to-small maps).
But the t3 sub are not really that good unless you have a large swarm of them. If you have somone actively making units that counter them like uef and cybran like the mermaid or a mix of coopers and shield boats can make short work of them.
On that I would say serp navy require more micro and attention to unit compsition like uef navy.Everything else I agree with you on.
Experimental
Nukes.
Cybran-Pretty much everything about cybran is overpowered exept their tech two point defense is very weak.
Aeon-Over all good faction but its tactical missle defense sucks badly and it takes forever to build the experimentals.
Seriphim-Vulnerable to artillery...and nothing else.
