Non-steam version - how to update to current patch 1.6.6
Hi everyone,

I am playing Supreme Commander Forged Alliance, however the Non-steam version that I purchased back in the day. Unfortunately, I just managed to updated manually to version 1.5.3599 - which is obviously not the most current patch.
I am also facing some bugs in the campaign (like for example the plasma beams of the UEF battlecruiser not hitting anything) and I strongly suppose that these bugs are removed in the most recent patch. Anyone knows where I can get this patch from?

Thank you and cheers,

lead

Maybe... FaForever.com You have to join though to access. Just take a look?
Hypothetically, you could use a file/folder analysis program (such as Kdiff3) to make a record of your installation files and compare it with the record of someone's files with the update, then copy the differing ones across.

But I recommend FAForever... for the compatability, ease of updating, moddability, cooperative campaign, player base...
I was having the same issue but I figured it out. Unfortunately, you'll have to uninstall and then reinstall. Uninstall supcom fa (you might have to delete all your saved data as well for a clean slate) and while it's doing that open steam. At the bottom left of the main store window it will say add game. Click it and there should be an option to add a game with a product key. Don't choose add non steam game from library. Use the product key that came with your supcom disc to activate a digital copy. No download and install again and it should be patch version 1.6.6. it was for me at least.

Hopefully this helps!
