While we have a limited amount of control over the VO, and really only have the option of turning it off entirely. As each experimental is detected, it's voiceover is queued into the audio subsystem - something we cant really tinker with at this point. The voiceover itself cannot be edited but only entirely replaced and only if we split the voicepackage down and rebuild it - so it's not trivial. Originally we wanted to create a voiceover package that had warnings for the many other experimentals we've added, but your mention of the repeated voiceovers isn't the first time we've heard about this issue.
The 'ping' that an AI generates (I assume you're talking about an allied AI) is there for two reasons. One - to notify you that it's found a threat that is worthy of attention, and two, to notify other allied AI that they should be doing something about it. We could probably remove the audio portion of it. We initially used it as a debug tool to visualize when LOUD noticed a threat that he should be responding to.
As for the various shell explosions - most of the incidental ones were removed for performance reasons. Since all graphical effects are triggered, managed and resolved by the primary SIM thread - this has a rather measurable effect on performance. This is done on a projectile by projectile basis - so it can be turned back on, but you would have to edit the many projectile blueprints to make it happen. It is our intention, that as the project advances, many of these and various other minor visual effects, will be put back in.
If you would like to discuss the LOUD Project in greater detail, or find other like-minded individuals who like a good comp-stomp, then you might be interested in joining our Discord server (https://discord.gg/nwR2whN). We'd love to hear about your LOUD experiences, what's good (and bad) and how you'd like to see it advance.

It fixes the AI where it no longer slows down the game after like 30 minutes. So no longer 5 hour games just to play an hour game. XD Plus a few other fixes, but its more of an overhaul then a mod since it completely changes all the game files.(no single player, just skirmish/lan play)
@loudman2
Bugger...yeah the VO was the only real issue I had with it because it gets annoying so dam fast when the guy keeps repeating himself and it's like "I get it..." lol but I'll have to stick with turning VO sound off for now. I dont play with nukes all that often so it shouldnt be that big of an issue.
I dont mind that they bring my attention to it but in larger games the pings get out of control, idk how the options work for the mod, but if there was a way to turn on/off the audio of it would probably be great for future options. Since Im sure some like it.
Yeah I heard about it before on another thread being a performance thing and I understand that. I was mostly saying for "private" games. Since solo I dont think I'd have to worry to heavily on performance(well in 3vs3 at least) so I would do little fights for the battles, but without the explosions and stuff it lacks when you zoom in and Im gonna be recording some battles but without them it's gonna look like im shooting duds XD - but if you know a step by step way of replacing the files I wouldnt mind hearing them, though if it's more of a "you need *insert program* and then go deep into file and replace these files and then you need to configure this and that" then nevermind. Only way im going to bother to edit it is if it's just a quick "copy and paste into folder" thing. lol
Thanks for the reply as well ^.^
If you still really do want to remove Loud, then all you'll need to do is remove the following:
LOUD (folder)
SCFA_Updater.bat
SCFA_Updater.exe
SCFA_Updater.log
Not sure what you are talking about.
LOUD ruined my vanilla version!
I cannot get any skirmish set up, as I cannot even get a map selected!
It just shows an empty box...
I cannot get this garbage out of the system.
Nothing works any more, even after reinstalls.
Like: I cannot see the maps, I cannot assign an AI to any given spot.
This is supposed to be "not a problem", "doesn't change your vanilla version"?
It damn well IS a problem and it DOES make [seemingly irreversible] changes!

very annoying, to say the least...
FFS, learn to read.
As Hollow pointed out, I clearly stated in my post that you needed a different profile when switching between the various versions of SCFA (Steam, LOUD, FAF, etc.):
