Are there any other games or movies like these games?

I really like the gritty sci fi aspect, two races locked in a battle for control. Huge explosions, massive experimentals, etc.

Does anyone know of any other movies, games or novels like this?

I currently know of

Supreme Commander series
Beyond All Reason
Planetary Annihilation
Ashes of The Singularity

And as for novels, Starship Troopers is somewhat similar.

Anyone know of anything else with that focus on combat and technology?

Battle Engine Aquila is about two factions at war using experimental war machines, and it actually pre-dates Supreme Commander by a few years. It's more of a shooter, but you're controlling a shape-shifting mech on a battlefield full of other units like tanks, planes, infantry, and ships.

Pretty sure it's actually on steam these days.
